June 6 2015: Tribute to BB King. LONG LIVE THE KING OF THE BLUES!
The King of the blues, BB King was the quintessential blues man. He was the physical connection between the original Gospel, Black/Slave Gospel and its first child: The Blues. He said that he learned to play in church and when church was over, his fellow musicians there sneaked and played the blues. Well the rest is history... American Music History. He was ours but we shared him with the world. His official biography states: "For more than a half century, Riley B. King has defined the blues for a worldwide audience. Since he started recording in the '40s, he has released over fifty albums, many of them classics. He was born September 16, 1925 on a plantation in Itta Bena, Mississippi." We lost a gentleman and a true artist on May 14, 2015. God rest you, BB. And now, a lesson he leaves for all artists: he says here in so many words: learn the BIDNESS side of things, young ones!
